Test prep
Get the knowledge and training needed to excel in the math portion of standardized tests such as the SAT, PSAT, ASVAB, ACT, GRE. Optimizing time management, and adopting error-proof methods are invaluable test taking skills.

Certain fundamental skills are necessary for proper understanding of math classes, and PMC has a number of such rudimentary math courses to help students settle in properly in their math studies.
RIGHT FOCUS
We believe that far too often parents and students get fixated on instant math grade improvement, and/or other similar short-term fixes as goals. In contrast, we recommend a long range view of things and endeavor to set students up on the right path to math excellence both in their current studies, and in more advanced math studies.

At PMC, we believe that the right math foundation is crucial to the study of math, and that it informs how a student carries on in class, and performs in assessment exercises. Hence, due attention is paid to foundational knowledge, and the rudimentary skills of math to ensure mastery.
RIGHT FIT
It is our estimation at PMC that the right fit is required to serve the unique needs of each student. This is reflected in how seriously we take the placement of students. It is not uncommon to find two students of the same grades learning at varied math levels; hence, we take the time to understand each student's needs, and how best to meet them.

Mr. Amize is an experienced mathematics tutor with more than two decades of teaching experience. His effectiveness with struggling students is rooted in his ability to approach concepts from the learner’s perspective and carefully assess each student’s current level of understanding. He then delivers clear, structured explanations that make complex ideas accessible, followed by a guided practice regimen designed to build confidence, reinforce understanding, and lead students toward mastery.
Mr. Amize is a practicing Christian whose work is grounded in principles of integrity, discipline, and service. He is married to Mrs. Ketsia Amize, and together they are blessed with a daughter and a son. He brings these same values of commitment, patience, and care into his professional interactions, fostering a supportive and respectful learning environment for his students.
